The Fluke T5-H5-1AC II Kit is a three-piece kit that contains the Fluke T5-1000 voltage, continuity, and current tester; the Fluke 1AC II non-contact voltage detector; and a holster.
The Fluke T5-1000 tester measures VAC and VDC with precise digital resolution and has a range of 1000 V RMS, with resistance displayed to 1000Ω. It has a continuity beeper and probe tips customized to national electrical standards. The test leads stow into the back of the tester and can be used with Fluke accessory test clips (not included). The tester measures 30.5 x 51 x 203 mm, weighs 300 g, and runs on two AA zinc chloride batteries. It has a safety rating of 1000V Category III, 600V Category IV rated.
The Fluke 1AC II VoltAlert Voltage Detector is a pen-style, pocket-sized non-contact voltage detector that tests for energized circuits by sensing the steady state electrostatic field produced by AC voltage through insulation. If voltage is present, the tip glows red and the detector optionally beeps. This instrument detects 90 to 1000VAC, has a safety rating of 1000V Category IV, and meets International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 61010-1:2001, Underwriters Laboratories (UL) 61010-1 (2nd ed.), Canadian Standards Association (CSA) CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 61010-1-04, and ISA-82.02.01. It runs on two AAA batteries (included). Applications include testing a terminal strip, outlet, or supply cord.
Voltage testers detect electrical current in cables, cords, circuit breakers, switches, wiring, and other components of electrical systems. They can test for live circuits, proper grounding, adequate voltage, and flowing current. They might be used by homeowners to test electrical outlets or by linemen to test power lines. Available in a variety of styles and levels of sophistication, some models simply indicate the presence of electrical current, while others record or display the level of voltage conducted. Some have additional capability such as the ability to perform continuity tests.
